And this session we are going to talk about the definition of a blueprint in assessment. This course in general aims to describe systematic approach to planning tests and approach the documents what students should know and be able to demonstrate on each assessment. This planning documents are typical test blueprints, they are also known as a test plan, tables of specifications and event test specifications. Blueprints in general is defined as a complete plan that explains how to do or develop something. But blueprinting assessment refers to a map or a specification of assessment to ensure that all aspects of the curriculum are covered by the assessment programs over specific period of time. It has curriculum developers to match various competencies with the course content and the appropriate modality of assessment. It is essentially a step for enhancing the validity of assessment and its constructive alignment particularly for high stakes examinations.
